The Occupational Hygiene Measurement, Testing and Analysis Pre-Qualification Certificate was issued to our laboratory by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Our laboratory is legally authorized to provide occupational hygiene measurement, testing, and analysis services in 50 parameters listed in the certificate.
Our Authorization Process Has Been Completed
As Haliç Occupational Hygiene Laboratory, following a meticulously conducted preparation and inspection process, we announce that we have qualified to receive the Occupational Hygiene Measurement, Testing and Analysis Pre-Qualification Certificate from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
The certificate was issued under the Regulation on Occupational Hygiene Measurement, Testing and Analysis published in the Official Gazette No. 32086 dated January 27, 2023, and information regarding issued certificates is announced on the official website of İSGÜM.
What the Certificate Means for Employers
Pursuant to Article 6 of the Regulation, employers are obligated to have occupational hygiene measurements, tests, and analyses performed by laboratories holding a qualification or pre-qualification certificate. Measurement results performed by laboratories lacking these certificates are invalid.
Measurement, test, and analysis reports you will obtain from our laboratory are compliant with legislation and officially valid within the scope of parameters included in our pre-qualification certificate. Our measurements are reported using validated methods and together with the calculated measurement uncertainty for each parameter.
Our Authorization Scope: 50 Parameters
Chemical factors, 38 parameters
- Heavy metals; 26 and 27 elements via ICP-OES using two separate sample preparation techniques (acid digestion in microwave and hot block); additionally mercury (Hg) via cold vapor AAS
- Volatile organic compounds (VOC); 55 components via active carbon tube sampling and gas chromatography
- Dusts; gravimetric dust in total, thoracic, and respirable fractions; respirable crystalline silica (quartz and cristobalite); carbon black; rubber process dust and rubber fume; alkaline dusts (NaOH, KOH, LiOH); suspended particulate matter measurement by optical method (photometer)
- Gases and vapors; formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxides (NO/NO₂), sulfur dioxide, bromine and chlorine, ozone, hydrogen peroxide
- Acids; fluoride and hydrofluoric acid by ion chromatography; hydrogen chloride, hydrogen bromide, and nitric acid; sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid
- Hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)), metalworking fluids (MWF), and oil mist originating from mineral oil-based fluids
- Instantaneous measurements with portable gas detector; oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, methane, and lower explosive limit of flammable gases (%LEL)
- Detector tube (colorimetric comparison) method; 129 gas and vapor parameters
Physical factors, 12 parameters
- Noise; personal noise exposure (TS EN ISO 9612), miniature microphone in real ear (MIRE) technique for sound sources close to the ear, and workplace ambient noise measurements
- Vibration; hand-arm vibration and whole-body vibration exposure
- Thermal comfort; determination of PMV and PPD indices, heat stress in hot environments (WBGT), and required clothing insulation (IREQ) evaluation in cold environments
- Lighting; measurement of workplace lighting levels
- Electromagnetic Field; electric and magnetic field exposure measurements in the 0 Hz – 1 MHz range
Our measurements and analyses are carried out according to NIOSH (NMAM), OSHA, HSE MDHS, ASTM, and ISO/TS reference methods. In multi-component parameters such as heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, and detector tubes, each substance is reported separately. You can contact us for a detailed parameter-based list of our service scope.
